Berkeley International Group (BIG) meetings

Monthly discussion series on international topics relevant to the work that we do

The Berkeley International Group (BIG) is composed of UC Berkeley faculty and staff who meet monthly to collaborate and participate in informal discussions related to the international work that we all do on campus. Each meeting is hosted by different units on campus. The group meets for one hour during the first week of every month, with the host deciding upon the topic, date, time, and location of the meeting.

If you would like to receive announcements of future BIG events, please request to add yourself to the bConnected list or email geo@berkeley.edu. Please note this list is for UC Berkeley faculty and staff only.

If you would like to volunteer to host a BIG meeting, please email geo@berkeley.edu.

The BIG meetings are excellent opportunities to learn about the inspiring international work being done by the UC Berkeley community, and to strengthen and also start collaborations in support of that work.
Eddie West, Assistant Dean & Executive Director, International Programs, UC Extension

Join us for the next BIG meeting in Stephens Hall 442 on December 5th from 1pm - 2pm. Meeting will be hosted by the College of Engineering

CoE will review its models for international collaboration, from large-scale research collaborations to visiting scholar and student programs, as well as new plans for a potential educational program to benefit students who have never been outside of the United States. Additionally, best practices and fundamental guidelines for the College of Engineering's establishment of international partnerships will be shared.
