Come celebrate the end of the semester and the strength of our international education community! Join the Berkeley International Group (BIG) on Tuesday, May 13th from 4–6pm at Jupiter in downtown Berkeley (2181 Shattuck Avenue) for an upbeat, informal networking and social hour.
In a time when the federal landscape continues to pose real challenges for international education, it’s more important than ever for us to show up for each other. This is your chance to reconnect, recharge, and rally with peers who understand the work—and the heart—behind what we do. Let’s build community, share a few laughs, and remind ourselves we’re not in this alone.
Pizza and light snacks will be provided (while supplies last!), courtesy of the Berkeley International Group staff organization community of practice (sponsored by People & Culture). Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available for purchase on your own at the bar. Jupiter has generously allowed us to use their private upstairs space for free — so be sure to tip your bartender to keep the good vibes going for future events!
Bonus: Everyone who attends will be entered into a raffle to win Cal swag!
The event is hosted by the Berkeley International Group, a recognized Staff Organization Community of Practice that brings together UC Berkeley staff who are passionate about international education—whether you work directly in international student services, exchanges, global engagement, program development, or simply have a deep interest in global learning.
Managers: please support your team’s engagement—this event is a great opportunity for staff development and connection during working hours.
✨ RSVP here to reserve your spot —we can't wait to see you there! We expect this event may reach capacity. In the event you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible to make space for others.
