Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) Teaching Sabbatical

The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education, STINT, was set up by the Swedish Government in 1994 with the mission to internationalize Swedish higher education and research.

The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) Teaching Sabbatical program aims to develop both individuals and institutions in the US and Sweden. Each fall semester, UC Berkeley hosts one or two selected Swedish lecturers who teach at least one course in partnership with UC Berkeley faculty. The Swedish lecturers’ task is to gain an understanding of learning and teaching policies and how US institutions implement and develop learning and teaching processes, as well as address educational quality standards.

More information is available on the STINT Teaching Sabbatical website. This program is managed by the UC Berkeley Global Engagement Office; contact Ashley Spinelli (aspinelli@berkeley.edu) for more information.

For UC Berkeley faculty and staff, more detailed information regarding the partnership development process and benefits to UC Berkeley is available here (via Google Drive, CalNet ID required).
